Ontario Provincial Police press release BANCROFT – On Friday the 03rd of February 2012, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received the report of a snowmobile collision on a snowmobile trail in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. Investigation revealed that a Yamaha snowmobile entered a ditch and rolled onto the driver. William Huber, 50, of Alymer, Ontario was transported by vehicle to St. Francais Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay. Mr. Huber sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Ontario Provincial Police press release L’AMABLE – On Tuesday the 31st of January 2012, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the report of vehicles entered in the L’Amable area. Sometime overnight several vehicles were entered on Grove Lane and Bay Lake road. Property reported stolen included a CB radio and GPS. Ontario Provincial Police press release BANCROFT — Between Friday the 27th and Sunday the 29th of January 2012, the Bancroft OPP responded to 7 motor vehicle collisions - On Friday the 27th of January the Bancroft OPP were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on West Diamond Lake Road in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. Ontario Provincial Police press release BANCROFT – On Friday the 20th of January 2012, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received the report of a break and enter on Boulter Road in Carlow-Mayo Township. Sometime between December 01st 2011 and January 19th 2012, a hunting camp was forcibly entered. Property reported stolen included a radio, battery and food. Ontario Provincial Police press release BANCROFT – On the 09th of January 2012, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received the report of a fraud from a Bancroft area resident. In late November, early December of 2011 the victim received correspondence in the mail stating that they had won 2.5 million dollars and they needed to send money to release the funds.
