Ontario Provincial Police press release PETERBOROUGH COUNTY– Officers from Peterborough County Detachment and members of the Smith-Ennismore Fire Department are reminding everyone yet again that no ice can be considered 100% safe for travel by any motorized recreational vehicle, automobile or truck at this time of year. Due to unseasonably inconsistent weather, the ice conditions on the majority of the County’s lakes and rivers should not be considered safe.
